Hi Duncan
I have turned my G7VJA-5 XR32 off for a while whilst we sort out what other SSID
i could use and what other port other than 10098 which we are using now,
that would be ok for your system and not clash with your Uronode port.
have think about a port you would be happy running XR32 G4MKI-5 too G7VJA-?? XR32

G7VJA-5 Uronode is still running and linking to G4MKI-10:HERON

Hi Kenny,
I have copied my XR32 ports setup to GB7COW-12 and G7VJA-9 below:

PORT=7
       ID=AXUDP Link with GB7COW-12
       INTERFACENUM=14
       IPADDRESS=44.131.210.5
       IPLINK=gb7cow.dyndns.org
       UDPLOCAL=10091
       UDPREMOTE=10091
       MAXHOPS=3
       CFLAGS=11
       QUALITY=196
       PACLEN=236
       MHEARD=5
       FRACK=5000
ENDPORT

PORT=20
      ID=AXUDP Link with G7VJA-9
      INTERFACENUM=14
      IPADDRESS=44.131.210.2
      IPLINK=80.176.146.86
      UDPLOCAL=10097
      UDPREMOTE=10097
      MAXHOPS=3
      CFLAGS=11
      QUALITY=196
      PACLEN=236
      MHEARD=5
      FRACK=5000
ENDPORT

I can't see anything obviously wrong with either but there is still a problem!

I can run the link to GB7COW-12 and it works absolutely fine, and is virtually instantaneous.

When I open Port 20, Port 7 goes 'red'  on the XR32 ports monitor screen, and port 20 wont work.

If I close Port 7 and then open Port 20 it comes up on my screen as GB7COW-12, not G7VJA-9, and wont work.

I'm stuck for ideas..unless my router is playing up.

If I reset my router, its ipaddress will change and I will have to ask Paul to reset his link to me.
The only possible thing I might have got wrong is your IPLINK address in Port 20.

It is exactly the same problem as I was having before, or at least, since I launched uronode, and why I was trying to setup a netrom link from BRIARY to HART, which appears in my nodes table there with a reasonable chance of making a link.

Hi Duncan
Still no connection between G7VJA-9 & G4MKI-5

as i monitor Uronode,i see
G4MKI-10 :HERON node list and beacon
G4MKI-5: HBXR32 node list and beacon
G8MKI-8: ?????
seems you have ported everything to your uronode.
is that correct.
i could do the same here
G7VJA-9:HARTY
GB7COW-5:NDEVON

Re: General Chat

Post by g4mki on Wed Nov 23, 2016 7:25 pm

Hi Kenny,
Yes, I have a link from HERON to BRIARY:G4MKI-8 (Uronode commands < >)<BRIARY>, <BBS2> is my Xfbb PMS ,associated with HERON:G4MKI-10, and <CONF> takes you to my conversd server NEKENT ( which is basically a link to Paul's WWWCONV <CONV>
you still need a password to access HERON:G4MKI-10 from BRIARY.
Also means I can use rhe terminal in my BPQ32 nodes web page to access HERON.
Obviously, if you are prepared to do it, a link from GB7COW-12:HLAND to HARTY:G7VJA-9 would get me out of trouble. I would then be able to access HARTY from HERON, within a second or so....
I don't seem to be able to get my link from HBXR32 to HARTY:G7VJA-9 to work.
As soon as I activate Port 20 (AXUDP to G7VJA-9) I lose the link from my Port 7 to GB7COW-12:HLAND. (which is very fast) I am using your static ip address for the IPLINK to HARTY and gb7cow.dyndns.org for the IPLINK to HLAND.
At the moment, my Port 20 is 'active' but not showing in XR32, which presumably
means there is no udp 'handshake'...and rarely makes a connection. My Port 7 link to GB7COW-12 is 'green'

Hi Kenny,
A late Merry Christmas to you and yours..I sent a message via uronode axmail but miss-addressed it!
Thanks for the info from John, I will download the latest files from his site.

I have been trying to get my old WindowsXP version of fbb + BPQ32 working but have had to re-install fbb because I forgot to start it from the link in Programs.
Using the link to fbb/bin obviously wasn't the way to do it! It wasn't working that way so I deleted it.
Installed both fbb and bpq in root (not Program files) but still can't fathom it. I don't seem to sort COM/PORT settings out in FBB and relate that to my BPQ Ports.
Problem is that I had several versions of FBB/BPQ32 installed on the old machine in root and Program Files. It all use to work fine!!
73,
Happy New Year,
Duncan

i have never tried to get them to forward to each other or whatever.

Re: General Chat

Post by g4mki on Wed Dec 28, 2016 9:47 am

Hi Kenny,
Thanks for that.
It is an annoying problem..I have a set of instructions from n9pmo, way back, which explains the fbb setup, but he didn't provide detail of the BPQ side.
I can load fbb and it will auto start BPQ32, just wont let me gateway from fbb to bpq.
Mike used to telnet bulls to my fbb mailbox and then I used to forward it from there to my BPQ mailboxes. I haven't worked out to do that from the linux fbb yet at HERON as the linux version doesn't seem to work in the same way.
As my old winxP machine only supports my WX station and AGWPE, I thought I would give it something else to do, so I had a play with FBBTOWEB, but found no current bulls in the mailboxes on my windows system. Mind you the setup instructions with FBBTOWEB seem a bit hard to follow. Not sure what is supposed to go in the webserver.

let me know what part you are stuck on,maybe i can help you.

here is my fbbtoweb
http://gb7cow.dyndns.org:8013/fbbtoweb.htm
and the other half of fbbtoweb is fwdpart (extracts R-Lines)if you decide to use it

Re: General Chat

Post by g7vja on Wed Dec 28, 2016 11:11 am

Hi Duncan
in your webserver folder create a folder called fbbtoweb
put the four files in the new folder
fbbtoweb.exe
fbbtoweb.ini
fbbtoweb.rej
pattern.htm
when fbbtoweb starts to work it will create new files in the new folder.

Setting up the Schedule events are the important part to get right.

use the savant webserver program that came with the zip
but do not install it in program files,just use c:/savant
if you use Apache again it must not be install in program files
c:/apache will work fine.
once fbbtoweb is working then customize the pattern.htm (carefully,avoid adding links to other pages,keep a copy somewhere on your machine should it go wrong)
it will update the webpage with the customized version when it next has to
update fbbtoweb

example
my Apache is on my c:/ drive but the fbbtoweb is on my e:/drive
http://gb7cow.dyndns.org:8013 is just an info page.

Hi Kenny,
Thanks again, I'll have a go!
I don't remember seeing savant in the zip file...better put the other -0^0- on and have another look! lol!
Typical! Didn't look properly...savant + all sorts of files is in the zip inside the zip!
Will definitely have another go!

Hi Kenny,
I have now got the older version of FBBTOWEB working. I had forgotten to edit FBBTOWEB.ini (not in your notes, unless I need new -0^0-)
.
I knew Schedule Tasks was working as it started FBBTOWEB.exe and created new files in the C\Savant\Root folder...and incremented LastBid from 0 to 2.
What I hadn't done was change MaxBull to 500 and set Older to 30.
It should now display a few more bulls. The pages change ok Topic/Sender etc and I have efited PATTERN to reflect my site style.

Next job will be to try the lastest version once my daughter + dog have gone home from their Christmas stopover. cheers

Hi Duncan
good to hear you have a working version at long last.
i sent Jose CX2SA the latest update and he has replaced the one on his download page.
if you update too v4.0.0.8 2016 you will have to delete your current setup as the two are not the same,only a slight difference but it will cause a error and wont work properly.
delete All the old file including bulls etc and put the new files in there place and restart from scratch.
the new .ini should have 500 as default, so you should not really have to edit it again
my new html shows how to setup both FBBTOWEB & FDWPAR.
both work via the Savant server
i have left Jose notes in the zip,although his pigeon english can sometimes confuse people.
that why i came up with my html setup - help.

have you got a web address i can try and check your fbbtoweb
